The way I got into the project: My sister Aliks once asked me if I wanted to participate in the film-making. I smartly agreed. But the time passed and there was no news, so I forgot about that talk. Besides, my wife was expecting a baby and I had other things to think about. But at the beginning of May Aliks told me that they had problems with the actor who was to play Aragorn. He couldn't come. I realized at once, that from an extra man (part of whom I thought I would act) I could advance to the foreground and wickedly using difficult situation the crew was in I became Aragorn.
General impression: It was great! Everyone tried his best. I enjoyed the shooting and socializing with people. When I did not participate in the shooting, I followed the crew not to miss interesting things and helped when I could (when we shot Weathertop I held a parasol for Frodo).
The best moments: I remember the very first day, when everyone put on their costumes, did make-up and then suddenly realized, that the masquerade was over and there is serious work to be done. The Council of Elrod was very difficult to shoot. Everyone was tired by the end of the day and we were nervous because of the sunset and lack of light. But we decided to shot this scene not ruin the schedule. At the screen the fatigue can be seen only in the eyes of the actors.
On the last day we had a lot of scenes to shoot but every scene was shot from the first or second time. But it was not only because of the lack of time. It seemed that we have been shooting together for a very long of time, as we became really united and inspired. The mere thought, that we did IT gave us strength!
The things you would like to change: I would memorize my part better, because I mixed some words in some episodes. I hope that spectators won't notice that.
How did your friends/parents react on the project: Standard reaction for such cases: at the first nobody understood what was going ont, but now they ask me for the video.
