"The
Trouble of the Rings Returns: King-Size" filmed by Fellowship art
group is a parody of Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings: The Return
of the King". It's the last part of our trilogy as well as the Jackson's.
Our trilogy is being created for two and a half years. By the most
conservative estimates more than 300 people took part in the shooting
- they were students, schoolchildren, people of different occupations.
They were brought together by their admiration of Tolkien's book and
Jackson's film, by their desire to touch the Middle-Earth, to become
a part of this outstanding fairytale. We've created our own reflection
of the Middle-Earth - there gondorians still wear jeans, people of
Rohan ride bicycles instead of horses, and hairy slippers of Frodo
and Sam are scuffed on the ways of Mordor.
The
third part is the most grand-scale film of the whole trilogy by Jackson
and so is ours. The most crowded scene is the coronation of Aragorn,
where about 150 people were present. The shooting of the third part
was also the most difficult; basically the good and the evil had to
fight the weather rather than each other. But inspite of the heavily
soaked last day of the shooting we have almost completed our titanic
work and you will be able to see its results in December.
The
leaders of the art-group would like to thank all participants. You
are real heroes and we are thankful endlessly, that you were with
us on this hard way. We will meet again - this project is not the
last one.
