In March 2002 the group of film fans decided to make their own film about the Middleearth. At first it was more of a joke than of a serious project, but soon the script was written and the work begun. The members of the first cast were from all over the world: Russia, Latvia, France, Canada etc., but then dreams began coming true and cast had to be more realistic. However the project still remains international -we have people from Russia, Latvia and Ukraine in our cast and crew.
The first shooting begun on the 10th of May, 2002. It was just a probe. None of the participants had any experience in film-making. Two minutes scene took six hours of hard work. But at the moment it was ready we knew - we could do it. All the money we had was raised by the members of the forum. So it is not only our first film it is also almost no-money film, but our enormous enthusiasm was the best compensation for the lack of money.
The main shooting took part in June, 2002 and lasted only 10 days. It was something incredible. We didn't notice how a nice week-end in a nice company turned into a real work. Maybe it's a magic of Tolkien's world.
The premiere of the Troble of the Rings: The Fellowship took place on the 22th ofis December 2002 just after the world premiere of the The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
The Trouble of the Rings: The Fellowship is just a parody to the Jackson's LOTR, perhaps it's playing at being Jackson. Sometimes it's funny but sometimes it's deadly serious. We are trying to look at the Middleearth from totally different angle. By making such parody we not only want to make people laugh we also give a new chance to see the world many of them love.
We do not intend to make any money out of this movie. This is totally non-profit, totally fan-funded project.
The Fellowship is an art-group founded by several members of the forum Henneth-Annun in order to make a parody to the Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship.
